Interviewing Earth Warriors Oracle
Disclaimer: I approach my interviews as if it’s a conversation with the deck and write whatever comes to me intuitively. Sometimes, this shows up in the reflection as a stream of consciousness report. It may be hard to follow, but it’s an accurate depiction of my reactions/thoughts/feelings at the time of the interview.
Reflection of the interview:
The card pulled when I asked "what are you here to teach me" was Liná and it's so beautiful both imagery and meaning wise. Not only did the card answer the question, it really could speak for the entire deck. This card is all about the courage to take on the challenges even when we're scared. Even when we don't know what the future holds. It's about believing in what we're doing, even when we can't see the results quite yet. It's about growth within our hearts. I think this deck has so much to teach me and I'm excited to get to know it more.
For the "what is your strength" position, I pulled the Clan of the Wolf Heart. Again, a beautiful card and meaning and within the first sentence of the guidebook description — I know exactly why this card was chosen for this position. "This is a soul tribe, with boundaries beyond bloodlines and geography. It is based on soul connection to love's wisdom and higher truths of great spirit united through Wolf medicine." After I read that line, the first thing that shot through my head? I'm home. I think that's what this deck is already trying to tell me... this deck will be like coming home to yourself.
For the best way to work with this deck, I pulled the Pacha Karmaq card. This card talks about nourishing the body, mind and soul... particularly the soul... and how important it is to take nourishment seriously. In reading the background information on this card, it is said that Pacha Karmaq can also represent rage at neglect. It sounds counterintuitive but in my trauma studies, rage is actually a healthy way to nourish ourselves when it's appropriate. So I think this card is telling me that I should be working with this deck when I'm in serious need of nourishment.
Estanatlehi was the card chosen for how will this deck help me grow. This card represents the Turquoise Moon Goddess of the Navajo. She represents change and evolution. She also represents the blessings that come from change. To me, this is a pretty obvious way of saying that this deck is going to help me grow through changes... good or bad. That change is a part of life, but often there are blessings to be found in the growth.
Lastly, for when should I call upon you for guidance question, I pulled Kaitiaki who is the guardian of the divine feminine. She is connected to Mother Earth and offers empowerment and healing. I think this line from the guidebook accurately describes when I should call upon this deck: "Lean into her, sharing in her creative potency and wisdom. Lean into her and trust in her support, even as you serve her by courageously voicing your truth."
Any sensations/feelings to note:
I mentioned this already, but this deck is like coming home. Even though there are so many beautiful ancestors and traditions I'm unaware of brought to life through this deck — I still feel like it's "home." Perhaps that's the point — that at the end of the day, we're ALL connected by our ancestors who have vowed to keep us safe.
How do you feel about this deck after this reading?
I feel so comforted and refreshed by this reading and this deck. There's a electric nature to this deck, almost as if I can feel the energy pulsing through it when I use it.
What do you like or dislike about this deck so far?
I LOVE this deck! The images, the cards, the meanings, the guidebook. It checks all of my boxes of a great deck. In fact, I decided that this deck would be part of my "ancestors" counsel because I trust it that much.
